Magic Cabin Toys and Treasures

Magic Cabin: Childhood's Purest Treasures

"From our humble beginnings in 1989, to our full-color, full-size catalog of today, Magic Cabin has been guided by the simple notion that children's lives are enriched by ample time for open-ended, creative, imaginative play. We believe in good-old-fashioned make believe and in children's innate need to interact with simple, natural toys and crafts. The words "batteries not included" do not appear in our catalog simply because our toys are "kid-powered." While childhood becomes endangered we pioneer towards protecting this special time in life by conscientiously selecting products that are beautiful and enchanting, sturdy and safe, and best of all, FUN."

Rose HIppos Toys that will evoke a sense of fun, curiosity and wonder for that special little one

Rosie Hippo's Toys and Games has been selling top quality toys for 13 years. It is now under new ownership as the original owners have recently retired.

From the new owners:

Who are we?

Two moms. We love our children. We love toys and books. We love beautiful design and skilled craftsmanship. We love choosing gifts, giving gifts, even wrapping gifts!

We believe that toys and books make a difference in children’s lives. We think play and reading are critical to a child’s development. We want our children to learn, to read, to create and to grow while having fun and learning to be respectful of the world around them.

Our goal at Rosie Hippo is to offer quality toys to enrich the lives and minds of children. We believe children’s toys should be unique, uncomplicated, inspiring, well-constructed and safe. You will find beautifully handcrafted wooden toys, toys made from organic fabrics, toys from cooperatives around the world, and books and games that stimulate creativity and independent thought. Toys that we hope will become family heirlooms. Toys that will evoke a sense of fun, curiosity and wonder for that special little one in your life. All of our toys are produced under conditions that are fair to workers and kind to our environment. With your help, we hope we are doing a small part to make a difference for our children and our planet.

Willow Tree Toys

"Willow Tree Toys was created in 2002, shortly after the birth of our second child. As an Attachment Parenting family, we were seeking a way to meld family and work life. We believed that we could create a new paradigm - one in which family needs, work needs and playfullness could all flourish. What a better way than selling toys! We welcome you to Willow Tree Toys.

At Willow Tree Toys, we hand select each product. We import many of our products directly from Germany and they are not available anywhere else in the United States. Our toys inspire creativity and offer open-ended play. We believe that childhood is a special time to be cherished. We want to encourage children and their parents to be truly present during play. Our toys allow children to fully engage all their senses while creatively exploring the world. Our quality European-style wooden toys, natural organic toys, and arts and craft kits are consistent with the Waldorf educational philosophy.

Waldorf education is based on the philosophies of Austrian scientist Rudolph Steiner. Steiner founded a school in Austria in 1919 with the principle that human beings are comprised of body, soul and spirit. Waldorf education strives to educate the whole child. Younger children are taught through the myths and fables of fairy tales. Waldorf toys tend to be classic and simple. Toys are generally made of wood and/or natural organic fabrics. Doll's faces are neutral, allowing the child to imagine how the doll may be feeling. Creative play is encouraged as Waldorf toys are designed to be open-ended. Waldorf toys have as many uses as the imaginative child wishes.

As a valued customer at Willow Tree Toys, you can expect to receive the highest quality products, outstanding customer service and extremely fast shipping. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to email us at info@willowtreetoys.com. We would love to hear from you!"

Jalu Toys - Handcrafted Natural Wood Toys

Jalu Toys - Handcrafted Natural Wood Toys

Jalu Wood Creations

Jalu Toys is located on the Sunshine Coast between Powell River and Lund on the West Coast of British Columbia, about eighty miles north of Vancouver. We believe that childhood is a wonderful, magical time and children need imaginative play to learn about the world and themselves

The making of the hand carved figures came about with the birth of our first child and has grown into a family tradition as our children grew. Through the years, our handcrafted toys evolved alongside our children, giving them quality natural toys which are interactive and inspire the imagination. We want to share our unique handmade collectable toys with the world, in the hopes that your children will one day be able to pass these quality toys on to their own children.
